Long (200 words)
Hex Hour is a turn-based strategy game in the spirit of Heroes of Might and Magic, and the map is your own neighbourhood. Your Home sits in the middle of one kilometre of real OpenStreetMap streets, split into 31 blocks. The goal is to turn the area from red to green: “N of 31 lit”.
After sunset, monsters crawl out of the breaches: zombies, werewolves, vampires, ghosts. The three mages of your Circle — the Battlemage, the Witch and the Enchanter — move across the map, gather resources, take mines, find artifacts and recruit apprentices. Battles resolve on their own, but before each one you pick an order to match the omen. An evening session takes 10–12 minutes, a morning one 3–5.
Walking is optional. The whole game works from home: a drone brings the finds to you. A daytime walk gives triple finds and rare chests, but nobody makes you go out. The game only sends players to public places; private yards are closed.
Hex Hour runs in the browser on Android and iPhone, with nothing to install from a store. No payments and no ads. Age 16+, no gore. The magic is in this game.
The closed alpha for 40 testers starts on 23 November 2026, and the open Prologue on 7 December 2026. English and Russian.
